• Created print design pieces as needed, including corporate logos, business cards, trade show graphics, brochures, and promotional literature.

Graphic Design Lecturer

• Taught an intro course in Graphic Design for two semesters to classes of 12 to 15 college juniors and seniors.
• Conducted tutorials on design software Adobe Illustrator 10 and CS, and Adobe Photoshop 7 and CS.
• Implemented projects, delivered lectures, led critique discussions, and maintained a course website.

Guest Presenter in Graphic Design

• Taught two 3-hour class workshops to college students on the foundations of Macromedia Dreamweaver and creating web pages.
• Developed a step-by-step plan for the workshops, and carried them out as in-class tutorials.

Web Designer – Independent Contractor

• Designed and developed several concept designs for Group C Design (St. Louis, MO) and Roundedcube (St. Louis, MO), and one website of over 100 pages for the SIUE Art and Design Department (Edwardsville, IL).
• Utilized skills in content organization, graphical development, page design, and hand-coded HTML.

Graphic Designer/Web Designer

• Design and develop print collateral (fliers, brochures, remittance envelopes, etc.) for Dirk's Fund, a Golden Retriever non-profit rescue organization based in St. Louis.
• Maintain the organization's website on a weekly basis.

Ecuador Research Project Assistant

• Assisted in organizing dried plant specimens collected in Ecuador for research and classification purposes, as well as to identify species new to the country.

Graphics Assistant

• Assisted in constructing maps, graphs, and diagrams for inclusion into braille books and textbooks.

Greeter/Gallery Assistant

• Greeted visitors and handed out literature at the Interpretive Center.
• Explained pertinent information to visitors regarding daily tours, movie playing times, and basic information about the site.
• Volunteered at the "Face Painting" and "Indian Games" booths at the annual Kid's Day special event.

News Reporter

• Wrote over 30 published local news stories, including two that were front-page headlines, for a daily newspaper.
• Received a commissioned assignment to cover the local Senior Olympics, which included photographing and conducting interviews with the participants, to promote the event in a special insert.

Copy Editor

• Edited articles before publication for a semiweekly newspaper, working under demanding time constraints.

Lifestyles Stringer and Reporter

• Wrote over 35 published articles reviewing art exhibits on display in galleries and museums throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area, including, among others, the St. Louis Art Museum, the SIUE New Wagner Gallery, and the May Gallery at Webster University.
