Siegel Robert Automotive – Site Design & Development

During the research phase for Siegel Robert Automotive's site design, I browsed web sites of major automobile manufacturers in order to get a feel for this industry's visual standard. What I arrived at was a very simple, bare header and footer area, which reinforced the company's logo colors, framing a segmented interior that allowed for plenty of space to highlight product innovations, company expansion, and news releases – content important to feature up-front on the home page for SEO performance.

An exciting aspect of this project involved creating the main image area on the home page, which was executed in Macromedia Flash. Shown below, it features a triptych of Siegel Robert's chrome products fading in and out of black boxes that hover above an image of a blurred car interior, suggesting motion and speed.

Interior pages of the site are rich with imagery to showcase Siegel Robert's automotive components, such as chrome nameplates and grilles, its production capabilities, and its pristine manufacturing plant and machinery.
