The home page design for Manuela y Rosa
posed an exiting creative opportunity. During our initial
consultation, my clients referenced a major fashion retailer's
website, and asked if a specific design element of the site,
namely an animated outdoor shopping scene, could be similarly
created and incorporated into their site. My unflinching
answer – of
course! Using Photoshop,
I designed the quaint village scene to my clients' specifications,
incorporating details such as tiled roofs, awnings, balusters,
street lamps and planters, reminiscent of a French or Italian
shopping quarter. I then dropped these design elements into
Flash and developed an animated scene complete with flying
birds and bustling shoppers. Each shop represents a category
of items within the site, and functions as a link taking
the viewer into each particular section. Whimsical, as well
as elegant, classy, fun and feminine, this site design stands
out as one of my most refreshingly unique and was a joy to
create.
