Flippin' Fudge – E-commerce Site Design & Integration

My clients at Flippin' Fudge were looking for a very fun, bold, visually engaging, signature site in order to emphasize the gift-giving aspect of their fudge business. My initial consultation with the husband and wife team brought out the fact that they held many of their competitor sites to be visually average, boxy and rigid, or too classically sophisticated, and hence a bit snobbish. They felt fudge should be primarily fun, and that a viewer's experience with an online store selling fudge should be the same.

This site allowed me to dispense for the moment some typical design conventions and gave me the freedom to make large movements on the page, using fluid ribbons and daring colors. Perhaps not anticipated by the clients, the site creation proved to be a fun experience for me as well.
