During our initial consultation, my client at Bible Surplus emphasized the need for his site to be warm and inviting, while also maintaining a conservative feel. Fonts also needed to be clear and a little larger than average to ensure easy legibility for his older target market. In order to get the right feel across, I used a color palette of deep blue and warm variations of brown and creamy tan. Subtle elements, such as beveled corners, were used throughout in order give a slight visual interest without detracting from the design's solid, stable structure.
